  • Co-Managing Partner

    Matt is a co-founding attorney and co-managing partner at Kiehn|Sanchez, licensed to practice law in Oklahoma, Texas, and before the United States Tax Court. His practice focuses primarily on cannabis compliance, transactional matters, estate planning, and personal injury representation.

    Matt earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics and Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Nevada, Reno. In May 2024, Matt earned his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, where he served as President of the Animal Legal Defense Fund–St. Mary’s Chapter and competed as a brief writer for the National Moot Court Team.

    While at St. Mary’s, Matt gained practical experience through a judicial internship with the Honorable Judge Rosie Speedlin Gonzalez and by participating in the law school’s Real Estate Clinic. Matt also served as a law clerk in both civil litigation and transactional law. Following law school, Matt has worked with clients across a range of regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters, including cannabis compliance, contract drafting, estate planning, and resolving personal injury claims.

    Matt serves as a pro bono attorney with the Animal Legal Defense Fund and is an active member of the Military Spouse J.D. Network, the Animal Law Sections of both the Oklahoma Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas, as well as the Business and Corporate Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association. Outside of his legal practice, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and pets, as well as traveling throughout the United States and internationally.

    Anna is a co-founding attorney and co-managing partner at Kiehn|Sanchez, licensed to practice law in Oklahoma, California, and before the United States Tax Court. Her practice focuses primarily on cannabis compliance and regulatory matters, tax law, small business civil litigation, and criminal defense.

    Anna graduated with the highest honors from the University of California, Riverside (UCR) in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology/Law & Society. She then earned her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law in 2019, where she served as President of the Environmental Law Society and Treasurer of the Animal Legal Defense Fund–Pepperdine Chapter.

    Since graduating from law school, Anna has developed a diverse legal practice with experience in cannabis law, tax law, environmental law, and civil litigation. She has represented countless clients in cannabis administrative proceedings, small claims court, and audits conducted by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC).

    Originally from Southern California, Anna is fluent in both English and Spanish. She relocated to Oklahoma in 2020 with her family to start up multiple cannabis businesses. Anna is a member of the Greater Oklahoma City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Cannabis Law Committee of the Oklahoma Bar Association, and remains actively engaged in the local business and legal community. Outside of her legal practice, Anna enjoys socializing, going to the movies, and attending local non-profit events.

  • Director of Operations

    Sonia brings over 17 years of administrative experience in Oklahoma’s public school system and more than a decade of law office administration experience to her role as Director of Operations at Kiehn|Sanchez. She has supported legal teams across a wide range of civil practice areas, including employment law, family law, probate and estate matters, and cannabis law.

    As the heart and soul of Kiehn|Sanchez, Sonia works closely with Matt, Anna, and our clients to ensure a positive, collaborative, and efficient work environment. She oversees the Firm’s operations, keeping the team organized, focused, and client-centered.

    Outside the office, Sonia prioritizes family and her beloved fur babies, which includes her dog, chickens, and horses. She is also deeply involved in her community, dedicating her free time to volunteering and pursuing her passion for the arts.
